Camp Wewa Information

The City of Apopka is excited to be able to provide lifelong memories at Camp Wewa! Camp Wewa is located at 221 S. Binion Road, Apopka, FL 32703.

We offer well supervised, organized, active, and fun-filled summer activities for youth and teens. Campers will have the opportunity to experience adventure activities, arts and crafts, athletics, boating, target sports, and more.

Camp Wewa can also host events, parties, team building retreats, educational trips, and other group programs throughout the year. Facilities to rent include a dining hall, large pavilion with a fire pit, lake, ropes course and climbing wall, activity buildings and cabins, basketball courts, target areas, outdoor chapel, and a junior Olympic-sized pool.

Camp History

The City of Apopka purchased this one-hundred-year-old camp from the YMCA in August 2021. Through partnerships with Lowe's Home Improvement and Friends of Camp Wewa, the City was able to revitalize the camp. 

We are excited to provide lifelong memories through camp, retreats, rentals, events, and outdoor education. We look forward to keeping the traditions that made this a popular destination.
