Lake Apopka Eco-Bike Ride

Register Online and join us for the FREE Lake Apopka Eco-Bike Ride in celebration of Mobility Week 2023!

The event will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 7:30 AM to 9 AM at the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and Loop Trail located at 2850 Lust Rd, Apopka, FL 32703. Online registration is now available for this event. 

About 8 miles round-trip, the ride will begin at the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive entrance and will run to the Historic Pump House. Parking will be available at the Hickerson Property (on the right of the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive entrance). Ride participants will have the opportunity to experience a family-friendly, beautiful trail ride, and more!

Please note that bicycles will not be available at the event—riders are responsible for providing their own bicycles.

Some tips for your bike ride:

  • Review the event route map before commencing on your bike ride.
  • Check-in with the event registration after you arrive before commencing on your bike ride.
  • If you own a bike, check your bike for and get any needed repairs prior to the event.
  • If you do not own a bike, consider a bike rental.
  • Do not leave your bike unattended.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
  • Wear your helmet while riding.
  • Apply sunscreen as needed.
  • Be sure to hydrate.
  • Keep important phone numbers for the bike ride on hand in the event of any issues or questions.
  • Do not disturb any wildlife that you may come across during your bike ride. 
  • Watch for car and cyclist traffic while on your route.
  • The Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive offers an audio tour that may be accessed during the bike ride or online.
